I had the most mind-blowing experience at this hotel! The staff were super friendly and jaw-droppingly eager to make sure we had a nice and relaxing visit. They spoke perfect fluent English with an American accent and were incredibly helpful with every question we had. The best surprise was that they gave each room a free smartphone to borrow, which had Google maps and Google all working perfectly, even though these apps are usually blocked in China. The phone also had unlimited 4g data and the ability to make domestic and international calls. The food was super delicious, especially the tasting tray at evening cocktail, and the staff even set up a movie night for the kids in the suite! The rooms were amazing, spacious and comfortable with a great view of the Pearl River. this hotel was a total blast and I can't wait to stay here again!

Location: the hotel was short walk to Shangri-la Guangzhou and other Shangri-la Hotels and resorts as well as Canton. Hai Zhu district was worth staying in.

The room was both brand-new and modern with a bathroom which did n't seem to have a working vent, a smart phone and lovely views. I had a traditional and massive breakfast for a beer, the food was tasty. The hotel had prime and convenient location really close to fair and outdoor restaurants, and expo center where Canton Fair takes place in which is an obvious advantage. The staff were customer-focused and extremely helpful, everything was second to none.

I always stay at this hotel because it has helpful staff who suggested great places to order tasty food. It has all the amenities I need like Wi-Fi, parking, and a fitness center. Perfect for my city breaks. No regrets.

It offers a comfortable and prime location and has customer-facing staff. It's in a lovely building in the impressive area.

I had a fantastic experience at Shangri-La. The staff were incredibly friendly and the ambiance of the hotel was incredible. The location was perfect, situated near a quiet neighborhood and close to both metro and tram trains. The hotel also had convenient amenities such as an ATM, shops, and a huge outdoor pool and playground for kids and parents. The indoor swimming facilities were also impressive, with a spacious room and a nice indoor pool. Additionally, the fitness center had great features like a sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and gym. I was extremely satisfied with my stay at GZ Shangri-La.

Inexperience and ineptness of waiters/watresses in Coffee Shop in dealing with out-of-the-ordinary requests (like getting a vegetarian minestrone soup)

Cozy rooms with modern decor and nice perks. Convenient location next to a big convention center and cool bars. Plus, it's close to the river for a nice stroll 🌊.

The WOK TOO Café had an amazing lobster seafood dinner buffet with over 100 types of global delicacies. The hotel's restaurants and bars, including the MICHELIN Plate winners, offered a diverse culinary experience. The tram provided easy access to the Pearl River landmarks. The Spa had a wide range of rejuvenating therapies.

Just loved everything, couldn't find a single thing to complain about!

Hotel is very close to the Fair, actually 5 minutes by foot and close to metro station. Very classy and clean rooms and the facilities where all up to standards. Hotel people were friendly.

Hotel personnel did not understand many time what I was telling them because their enfglish are poor and also they were a little inexperienced for a 5 star hotel.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway and was pleasantly surprised by the great location, just a short walk from the Canton Fair Expo and with easy access to the downtown area. The indoor pool and gym facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, the beds were incredibly comfortable and provided a great night’s sleep.

That we had to purchase swimming caps at the reception instead of them being provided for free. , the view from our room wasn't quite what we expected, but it didn't ruin the overall experience.

It was great experience to stay in a such luxury hotel, it was close to a metro station which facilitated the trasportation.

What an incredible escape! The romantic atmosphere was perfect, especially with the candles in the room. The garden surrounding the pool is a beautiful touch, and the pool itself is an ideal size. Breakfast was my favorite meal, offering delicious Eastern and Western cuisine options, and the Dim-sums were superb! The hotel's shuttle service was convenient, providing easy access to key locations around the city.

The room service needs work. Some menu items were unavailable, and the towels were not of good quality.
